Dr. Johanna Sänger

The potential of ceramic micro- and nano-structures, with their outstanding chemical, mechanical and optical properties, has yet to be fully realised. The research group led by Dr Johanna Sänger, which is based in the Materials Engineering department, develops 3D-printed ceramic components on a micrometre to centimetre scale for medical technology, for example. The group combines scientific expertise in feedstock development, 3D printing and ceramic technologies with data-based quality assurance across the entire process chain.
