Conformity Assessment Explosives and Pyrotechnics
Division 2.5
The division 2.5 assumes the role of BAM as a notified body as notified body (no. 0589) performs conformity assessment procedures for explosives for civil uses according to the EU Directive 2014/28/EU and for pyrotechnic articles according to the EU Directive 2013/29/EU. The division 2.5 conducts research on safety- and security related aspects with explosives and pyrotechnic articles and advises the German government, ministries, and authorities in this context. The transfer of knowledge is controlled by publishing the results and further developing the state of the art in sector-relevant standards.
