Optical Imaging system for translational analysis of NIR fluorescence signals for preclinical and clinical research (TRANSLATE)

Project

  • Project period

    06/01/2023 - 06/01/2026

  • Project type

    Collaborative research project

  • Project status

    Ongoing

Description

The goal of the project is to develop a fluorescence imaging system that enables the detection, quantification, and validation of fluorescence signals translationally from applications in basic and preclinical research to applications in diagnostics and therapy.

Location

Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM)
Richard-Willstätter-Straße 11
12489 Berlin

Within the TRANSLATE project, a new optical measurement system for fluorescence imaging in the visible and near-infrared (NIR) spectral range will be developed and validated in cooperation with the SMEs nanoPET and XeraLight. This very flexible measurement system is designed to detect and quantify target- or disease-specific fluorescence signals of differently sized objects for translational applications in basic research, preclinical research, clinical research to diagnostics and therapy.
